For the first time presented, the series of large formats of the Breton painter Matthieu DORVAL "The genius of the place", gives us to see a chaotic world of light and matter in gestation. It echoes the sculptor's former workshop, a place of inspiration and creation par excellence. The paintings seem to us to be animated by a sculptural dimension, so much the floating black forms seem almost palpable objects in the painting.

In a world at its beginning, a groping halo of light and matter seeking its harmony, the delicate sculptures of Bénédicte VALLET appear as the first living structures organized and conscious of being. Composed of complex assemblies of porcelain elements, sewn with hemp and linen fibers, they are at the edge of the vegetable, mineral and animal kingdoms. “They solicit an archaic memory of the world by evoking this passage from mineral to organic: coral efflorescences, colonies of shells, pelagic invertebrates with extraordinary but viable shapes, phenomena of concretion, calcification, sedimentation, crystallization of a geological order ”. Pierre Souchaud
