  • Jeanne Jugan, founder of the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor, was born in this cottage on October 25, 1792. Her social and spiritual influence is spread in 180 homes for disadvantaged older people, spread over 31 countries on 5 continents. Pope Benedict XVI canonized him on October 11, 2009 in Rome.

    Sainte Jeanne Jugan, fondatrice de la Congrégation des Petites Soeurs des Pauvres, est née dans cette chaumière bretonne en 1792 et y a vécue jusqu'en 1817 où elle est partie à St Servan. De Juin à Septembre, des Associés Jeanne Jugan accueillent pèlerins et visiteurs et leur proposent une visite guidée permettant de découvrir l'itinéraire spirituel et humain de Sainte Jeanne Jugan, née à Cancale en 1792.
