12th edition - Village of the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe from October 25, 2022 with a race start on November 6, 2022.

Created in 1978, at the instigation of Michel Etévenon, La Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe is the queen of solo transatlantic races. For 10 editions, it has linked Saint-Malo to Pointe-à-Pitre, Brittany to Guadeloupe and brings together the greatest sailors on the same starting line.

From Mike Birch's victory on his little yellow trimaran during the first edition, to the breathtaking arrival of Loïck Peyron on his giant multihull during the tenth in 2014, via Florence Arthaud's coronation in 1990 or the double Laurent Bourgnon in 1994 and 1998, Rum left strong images in the memory of all French people.

On Sunday November 6, 2022, the event organized every four years by OC Sport Pen Duick, will celebrate its 12th edition.
It will host six categories: the Ultimate category, the Multi50, the Imoca, the Class40, the Rhum Multihulls and the Rhum Monohulls. They will all set off at the same time on a 3,542-mile course.
A very big edition for the sailors, the general public, the partners and all the stakeholders of the event.
