Hippodrome

A 1st category racecourse with two types of track. The Hippodrome de Saint-Malo welcomes you to pass on their passion for horses.

Hippodrome de Saint-Malo – Société des Courses de Saint-Malo

Created since 1842, the Société des courses de Saint-Malo with the desire to set up a venue dedicated to racehorses. Construction of the Saint-Malo racecourse began in 1904. Today, it is an 18-hectare venue with 13 meetings a year, including 8 national events.

A grass track for gallop races
1500 metres long, 18 metres wide and a 300-metre straight. Starts are given in stalls for the flat and on the elastic for the jump.

A sand track intended for trotting races
Total length of 1,360 metres, width of 20 metres and straight line of 300 metres. The turn is to the right.

The restaurant “Le Panoramique de l’hippodrome” welcomes you with a magnificent view of the tracks.

See you for a new season

On Sunday 6 April from 1:00 pm, the racecourse opens its doors to you for a new quality horse racing season.

This resumption will take place as part of a great day of trotting races, in which the best horses and top professionals will compete.

A €2 play voucher offered with each paid entry.

A great 2025 season is getting ready!.

Here are already the dates to remember:

  • The racecourse celebrates children on 2 days: Monday 9 June and Friday 15 August
  • The traditional GNT (Grand National du Trot ), on Wednesday 6 August magnificent day ending with a concert and fireworks.
  • Don’t miss the Miss Emerald Coast election on Tuesday 12 August, which qualifies for the Miss Bretagne election.
  • Other events planned throughout the season: Sulky baptisms, local market, Horse Day ……
