The church of Saint-Ouen des Iffs

In the heart of romantic Brittany, located in the small commune of Les Iffs, the church of Saint-Ouen des Iffs owes its prosperity to the pilgrimage to Saint Fiacre, the flourishing trade of canvas merchants and the proximity of the Château de Montmuran.

Odorico and the Church of Tinténiac

The Church of the Holy Trinity was built by architect Arthur Regnault in the early 20th century, the monumentality of the church is remarkable. Admire the floral decoration on the high altar, a mosaic motif designed and created by Odorico.

The flax and hemp route

Take a trip back in time to the time of the weavers as you pass through the communes of Les Iffs, Cardroc and Saint-Brieuc-des-Iffs. A walk based around flax and hemp awaits you.

The twisted bell tower of Québriac church

The church of Québriac is dedicated to Saint-Pierre. It dates from the 12th or 13th centuries and was remodelled in the 14th century. It is topped by a bell tower with a curious twisted framework, known as a “tors” bell tower. Take a look at the top of the bell tower. It appears to be twisted slightly to the right. But no, it’s really twisted an eighth of a turn. Their origin is highly controversial and the subject of many legends…

Château de Montmuran

Built between the 12th and 17th centuries and then remodelled in the 18th century, Montmuran blends the medieval and classical style. The first version of the building was instigated by the Lord of Tinténiac at the request of Abbess Adèle, sister of Alain III of Brittany. By the 14th century, the imposing fortified castle was one of the most powerful fortresses in the region.
