Saint-Malo

Day 1: Friday, late afternoon. The cry of seagulls and the sea air greet you as soon as you step off the train: you’re in Saint-Malo, jewel of the Emerald Coast!”

Drive to the magnificent Plage du Sillon, where the sea and sky play with a cameo of blue and green, disconnection guaranteed. The smell of iodine, the forts and islets dotting the bay, the waves caressing the sand, and a dazzling sun as you watch it set over a drink on a terrace on La Digue… if this isn’t paradise, it sure looks like it! To the east, the wild tip of La Varde. To the west, the corsair town and its castle. You’re in the perfect place to extend the evening with dinner, in a restaurant nestled betweenthe superb seaside villas.

Psst! Don’t forget the selfie in front of the famous breakwaters…

Saint-Servan

Day 2: Ready for some new thrills? The gyropod is ideal for discovering the Cité d’Alet, the original district of Saint-Malo.

Enjoythis breathtaking panorama over Saint-Malo Intra-Muros and Dinard,… Continue your historical stroll by visiting the Mémorial 39/45 and its recently renovated firing master station. Unless you prefer towalk along the GR®34 to the park and château of La Briantais, the town’s green lung, a jewel recently classified as a Historic Monument. Enjoy the superb view over the Rance estuary. This is your zen moment. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Parc des Corbières and its coastal path, a pretty corner of nature overlooking pretty coves. It’s almost time for dinner: the picturesque district of Solidor is just around the corner. Bistro? Crêperie? Gastronomic? The choice is yours!

Then stroll through this lively district, or return to Parc de La Briantais for an evening of guinguette or open-air cinema.

A breath of sea air

Pointe du Christ beach in Saint-Malo at low tide

“I love going to Pointe du Christ beach, which is discovered at low tide, far from the hustle and bustle of the city and the usual busy beaches. I love the atypical way of getting there, by passing under the porch dug into the rocks and using the rope specially put in place to climb down. The view of the Ile Besnard is breathtaking! And it’s a great spot for fishing on foot!”
