Day 1: You’re in Cancale, Site Remarquable du Goût, pearl of the coast!

Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to discover one in the oysters to be sampled on the harbour? From here, you take inthe whole Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel and the Merveille, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Is the sea high? When you see the colour of the waves, you understand why this area was given the name Côte d’Émeraude… Is the sea low? A graphic landscape is revealed: a unique oyster park in the world, the oyster-farming treasure of Cancale. Continue your gourmet stopover by lunching on the Port de la Houle, facing due south. Behind the restaurants and cafés, picturesque alleyways reveal fishermen’s cottages and gardens at the foot of the cliff, which you climb up on winding staircases. End your day with a stroll along the Jetée de la Fenêtre. The bay is bathed in new light.

Day 2: Do you have your sea legs?

This is the time to find out by trying an activity at the Port-Mer nautical centre: catamaran? paddle? kayak? The choice is yours! The fresh air and sport will whet your appetite, so it’s time for lunch! After your exertions, you deserve a gastronomic break, with local seafood products enhanced by the expertise of a chef. In the afternoon, you have two choices: if the tide is right, you can take part in manoeuvres aboard the traditional sailing boat La Cancalaise. On the deck of this yacht, you’ll feel like a captain. You’re in charge. Unless you’d prefer to discover the marine biodiversity of the Bays of Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel on a dolphin-watching trip. There are 400 of them in the Bay, making it the largest concentration of bottlenose dolphins in Europe.

La Côte d’Emeraude

Day 3: As day breaks, enjoy an unforgettable experience flying over the fine sandy beaches of the Emerald Coast at Saint-Coulomb by microlight or paraglider.

Admire the wild nature of the sites of Pointe du Meinga, Guimorais, Touesse or Du Guesclin. The diversity of flora and fauna, the dunes, coves, paths, points and islets that make them up. From the air, the beauty of this jewel is even more magical! Less adventurous? Get on your bike and follow the circuit of the malouinières, these superb holiday homes, built in the 17th and 18th centuries in the countryside by Malouin shipowners to get away from the hustle and bustle of the port. In the afternoon, take to the water, go to one of Saint-Malo’s water sports centres to ride the wave, or hire a coach to enjoy a sporting activity in these propitious surroundings.

Wind and waves: it’s the ideal spot for surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, sand yachting, foiling… in an idyllic landscape! Thrills guaranteed!

Oyster tasting at Port-Briac
“After carefully depositing my bourriche and picnic in the basket of my bike, I’ll take you to spend a gourmet moment on the beach at Port-Briac! I ride down the road of the same name, pass under a tunnel of greenery and can already see the pleasure boats moored off my favourite beach! I sit down on my rock, shuck my first oyster, then my dozen (N°3 creuses). Although purists will say that real Cancalaises are ‘flat’. I taunt the herring gull that I’m tempting, leaving it only the empty shells. No pearls this time! But I’m proud to live all year round in an area that you’ll discover on holiday!”
