The Cara-Meuh farm! has been a family affair since 1929. Initially milk producers from father to son, we decided following the 2009 crisis to transform this milk into delicious caramels, the "Cara-Meuh!".
Certified organic since 2013, the farm is developing a productive ecosystem while respecting the land and biodiversity with a vast reforestation project around the meadows. In addition to cows, you will find a mobile chicken coop, the "Cara-Poule", and Bayeux pigs.
Over the years, production has diversified. Organic milk is now transformed into soft caramels, cheeses, butter, raw cream, faisselle, fromage blanc and Italian ice cream in the summer.
On the site, you can also visit the milk museum, discover art exhibitions and enjoy a small animal park.
Two options are available for visiting: an educational trail open all year round, free of charge and with free access, and guided tours by reservation. In both cases, tasting is on the agenda!
To finish the visit, the on-site shop offers, in addition to the farm's products, those of more than 60 local producers and artisans.
Ideally located near the tip of Grouin du Sud, you can enjoy a gourmet stopover. Picnic tables are available to visitors and a bar is open in the summer, offering local drinks and delicacies from the farm.
