All our offices offer a wide range of tailored tourist information, available from the tourist advisors at our 6 reception offices in Saint-Malo, Cancale, Dol-de-Bretagne and Combourg (open all year round), Saint-Suliac and Saint-Coulomb (in season). We list everything the area has to offer: places to visit, activities, beaches, accommodation, restaurants, etc. In addition to the information provided by the holiday advisors, the Tourist Office publishes several comprehensive welcome booklets specifically related to accessibility.

Trained to welcome anyone with a disability, whatever the type, reception staff are authorised to provide general or more specific information; they have undergone specific “Tourism & Handicap” training.

The offices in Saint-Malo, Cancale, Dol-de-Bretagne, Combourg (open all year round) and Saint-Coulomb (open in season) are accessible and adapted. The Saint-Suliac office (open seasonally) located in an old mansion is neither accessible nor adapted.

Finding your way around the Tourist Office of Saint-Malo

The Esplanade Saint-Vincent is a real crossroads: it is located between the castle, the main gateway to the old town and the beaches. It is also home to the main ‘Intra-Muros’ bus stop, the taxi rank and the Tourist Office.

The pedestrian esplanade is fully accessible: people, including those with reduced mobility, can move around freely.

To make it easier to find your way around the esplanade, various tools have been put in place for the visually impaired: a multisensory and Braille terminal representing the esplanade is positioned in front of the Tourist Office entrance and 7 audible beacons have been installed around the Tourist Office perimeter :

  • Porte Saint-Vincent
  • Manège
  • Chaussée du Sillon
  • Station Taxi
  • Office de Tourisme: in front of the entrance
  • Office de Tourisme: at the rear of the building
  • Quai Duguay-Trouin

These sound beacons are triggered from a remote control over a distance of approximately 15 metres. When the beacon is triggered, it emits a message to help visually impaired people find their way around. Remote controls available on request from Saint-Malo Tourist Office.
