From October 20 to November 1, 2026, Saint-Malo will once again welcome hundreds of thousands of people to gather around the boats competing in the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe. This 13th edition promises to be exceptional. Opening of the race village on October 20 But before the thrill of the start, sailors and the general public will share equally powerful emotions when the race village opens on Tuesday, October 20. To kick things off in style, part of the fleet will arrive in Saint-Malo in a parade—a symbol of the race's diversity and richness. Boats from various classes—ranging from Ultims and Class40s to IMOCAs, Ocean Fifties, and even Vintage Multis and Monos—will bring the quays to life and make the heart of the "Corsair City" pulse with excitement throughout the village. Once the boats enter the basins, the entire fleet will beat as one for 13 days, set to the rhythm of festivities devised by the organizers, the City of Saint-Malo, and the Guadeloupe and Brittany regions—reflecting the strong bond uniting the Corsair City with the shores of the Caribbean. A blend of Breton and Guadeloupean atmospheres, tradition and modernity, memories and new discoveries will define the period leading up to the start. A festive, crowd-pleasing gathering in store
