Château et Parc zoologique de la Bourbansais

With more than 50 viewpoints and 400 animals, La Bourbansais is a unique place to discover and observe many exotic and endangered animal species in their natural environment. Escape to a varied environment, where calm and wonder constantly meet.

The nearly 100-hectare park is home to animals from around the world, most of which are protected by international conventions. Go near primates before joining animals that will make you gain height. Descend alongside the felines, then enter the territory of the lemurs... A route designed to amaze young and old, with species as different as they are fascinating.

A visit to the Château (16th – 18th century), classified as a Historic Monument since 1959, bears witness to artistic creation between the Renaissance and the Classical Period. Still inhabited and furnished in Louis XIV and Louis XV styles, its guided tour allows tour guides to discuss many historical themes punctuated with anecdotes. Its different monumental façades overlook the “French-style” gardens, the “Carrousel” and the “Potager”, three breathtaking facets.

Shows unique in France are also presented from April to September: "Around the World in 80 Birds", a show of birds in free flight and "Dogs and Men", making it possible to illustrate the oldest relationship between the 'Animal and Man: 30,000 years of collaboration.

Children can also have fun in the large playground and the educational biodiversity trail in the Elfik forest. This course, specially designed for children, allows them to discover the local fauna and flora while having fun in a vast fir forest full of mysteries and discoveries.
