Protected from the winds by the jetty that shelters the port, and facing west, it is a very pleasant sandy beach for swimming, and therefore very busy in the summer. The sea wall, called Môle des Noires, is a 500 meter long jetty. The Môle des Noires is so called, for the rocks on which it was built: the "Roches Noires", whose name comes from their color.
