Touesse beach or Colette’s beach … ? | Saint-Malo – Mont-Saint-Michel Bay

Between Saint-Malo and Cancale, Touesse Beach located in the commune of Saint-Coulomb.

A heavenly spot offering greenery, fine sand and turquoise sea.

This beach is sheltered from the sea wind, which is rare on the Breton coast.

All the idyllic features are here: a beach of fine golden sand, boats at anchor, cormorants diving between the rocks flush with the emerald sea, the coastal path rising above the dunes sheltered by umbrella pines.

A literary thrill!

Sidonie Gabrielle Colette, one of the greatest women of Letters of the early 20th century, came to spend the summers, from 1910 to 1924, at her villa “Roz-Ven” located on the beach dunes.
