The Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a living jewel box of nature between land and sea. Famous for its mussel farming, it is home to vast mussel beds visible at low tide. The landscape is also marked by the old tide mills, witnesses to Breton rural engineering, and by the chapel of Sainte-Anne, perched facing the sea, a place of meditation and remembrance for the people of the coast. 1. Mills

The Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel has a very rich heritage, made up of shores and marshes. 4. Mussel farming

“AOP de la Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel” Bouchot mussels are one of the jewels in the crown of Breton gastronomy, earning them the distinction of being the first seafood product to be awarded a European A.O.P. label. It is with respect for this designation that mussel farmers work throughout the year to produce mussels with orange flesh and a delicious iodised and sweet taste.

5. Le banc des Hermelles

An exploration to discover this hidden treasure of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, le banc des Hermelles. Marine worms build their colony here, a superposition of tubes that forms a veritable reef covering more than 100 hectares and standing more than 1.50 metres high. 6. La Chapelle Sainte-Anne

Small chapel with a room and an altar facing the entrance. The campanile with a small bell tower sits on a double-pitched roof. Dedicated to Saint Anne, invoked here to ensure the protection of the marshes from the invasion of the tide.
