Baie du Mont-Saint-Michel

Day 1: Nature immersion

Barely arrived, you’re already in the mood, immersed in the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel where the biggest tides in Europe take place. Your eyes will sparkle. Tide permitting, you’ll discover the exceptional biodiversity of this Natura 2000 site on foot. The outing will delight young and old alike. Your guide from la Maison de la Baie, in Le Vivier-sur-Mer, tells you all about the grandiose landscapes, the salt meadows where sheep graze, the Hermelles reef built by marine worms. It even takes you to set foot on quicksand! You’ll be surprised to learn that around a hundred seals have taken up residence in the bay. Look, there they are, sunbathing on the mud! For dinner, you’ve earned the right to savour a giant seafood platter prepared by a local producer. And to sleep in, a cosy gîte, big enough for your whole tribe to feel at home!

Saint-Malo

Day 2: Fit? Good, because it’s shaping up to be an invigorating day!

On the morning’s programme, a sports rescue session in the waves of Saint-Malo, to experience what it’s like to be an inshore lifeguard. The sea is admittedly a little cooler than in Malibu, but for a moment, on their boards, everyone imagines themselves in the red trunks of a Pamela Anderson or a David Hasselhoff… Are you all dried out? Have you worked up an appetite? There’s no shortage of restaurants in the Rochebonne district. The hardest part will be getting everyone to agree on a menu… The afternoon continues with an escape game. Choose your theme and location and embark on two hours of puzzles, games, teamwork and memorable laughter. Have you cleared your head? Perfect, that was the goal! Tonight, dinner will be a leisurely affair, and so will the night in your gîte.

Rance shores and Cancale Bay

Day 3: Ready to get on board? Tree climbing and sailing

Near Saint-Malo, two tree climbing parks have set up, C.O.R.D.(e.) in Cancale, Corsaire Aventure at Fort Saint-Père. Which one to choose? Splash, splash: this time it’s Fort Saint-Père, a fortification built in the 18th century to protect the corsair town from English attack. There’s a route to suit everyone: climbing, sliding, jumping!

Just a stone’s throw away, the shores of Rance are perfect for a picnic. The baskets you’ve prepared with the local produce you bought this morning are going to be a hit! Enjoy this gourmet break overlooking the coastal river, this interlude of gentleness and calm before the next outing: a ride on an old sailing ship in the Bay of Cancale, to admire the jewels of the coast from the sea. Ready to come aboard? After sailing, take a break for a cup of tea or hot chocolate. In the evening, you’re all ready to return to your beds, in your pretty gîte.

    Le Tronchet and Epiniac

Day 4: getting to grips with golf vocabulary

Iron, green, swing, putt…You’ll need to familiarise yourself with golf vocabulary: this morning, you’ll be hitting balls! You’ll be introduced to the game at Épiniac, between Dol-de-Bretagne and Combourg, or at Le Tronchet, on a driving range that’s ideal for beginners. Where will you have lunch?

A restaurant at Le Tronchet or Épiniac? Your stay ends this evening.

You’ve done a lot of activities! You’ve seen the treasures! You’ve had some adventures! A relaxing afternoon is a must before getting back on the road and getting on with your life. A massage, a relaxing treatment with seaweed and Breton ingredients, a sauna, a whirlpool bath: choose what you fancy, and let your mind happily relive the four days you’ve just spent together. It was fantastic. You haven’t left yet, and you already want to come back…

    DID YOU KNOW?

Oysters from Cancale are reputed to be rich in iodine and vitamin C, but that’s not all…
In 1545, François 1st awarded the title of Town to Cancale for the oysters supplied to his table!
